Welcome Aboard Ome City Marathon
今回は毎度おなじみの安藤・久保（政次郎）選手の紹介だけではなく、アメリカ選手団関係のレポートを中心に報告致します。（でも、ＡＫコンビに当日会えなかったので写真なしです。）
協会ＨＰ初の英文ページを、河辺市民センタ「現代英語講座（ジェイソン先生）」メンバの協力を得て作成しました。
取材を通じて、多くのボランティアの方々が活躍されていることを心強く感じました。特に、隣のテニスコートでプレイされている方が意外と多く、今度一緒にテニスしましょうということになりました。

About 13000 runners run in Ome road, as the last year of 20th century.
30Km,10Kmのロードレースに約１万３０００人のランナーが青梅路を走った。
Foreign Visitors
This year Ome-city had visitors from the U.S, Germany, China and other countries who will
participate in the Ome marathon on Feb.20th.

OLFA's Mission
Five High school students, a coach and a senior manager are coming on Feb.17th from Newton, Massachusetts.
They stayed in Ome from Feb.17th to Feb. 22nd.
OLFA(Ome Lafayette Friendship Association)
found host families for those people and provided necessary services for them.
青梅ラファイエット友好協会（ＯＬＦＡ）とはアメリカ ルイジアナ州ラファイエット市との交流活動をボランティアで行っている団体です。今回はホストファミリーの方々と一緒に、アメリカ（マサチューセッツ州）ニュートン市から５人の高校生ランナー、コーチと文化部長のお世話をされました。因みに、ボストンマラソンの有名な「心臓破りの丘」はニュートンにあるそうです。
